Kokeshi Japonaises

Magnificient Japanese kokeshi doll "Mushin Murasaki," adorned with a hand-decorated kimono. Mushin means pure soul. The lotuses adorning her kimono bloom in spring. Purple is the noblest color in Buddhism.

This kokeshi was made by Shoei Fujikawa. It received an award from the Japanese Prime Minister.
