The Higonokami Zenkou Silver S is a traditional Japanese pocket knife, handcrafted in Miki, Hyogo Prefecture (Japan) by Nagao Kanekoma, the last officially licensed Higonokami maker.

This compact "Zenkou Silver" model features a fully metallic handle and carbon steel blade, combining minimalist design and everyday practicality.

High-carbon 55C steel blade

• Blade material: carbon steel 55C – sharp, hard, and easy to sharpen

• Ideal for cutting paper, cardboard, wood, leather, or small EDC tasks

• Blade length: approx. 60 mm

• Blade thickness: approx. 2 mm

• Estimated hardness: ~58 HRC

Elegant all-steel silver handle

• Made of chrome-plated folded steel, following Higonokami tradition

• Glossy silver finish, slim and durable

• Lightweight design fits comfortably in the hand or pocket

• Will naturally patinate with use for an authentic aged look

Friction folder mechanism

Use & care instructions

• Best for: EDC (Everyday Carry), small cutting tasks, calligraphy, collectors

• Care tips: wipe dry after use to avoid rust (carbon steel is not stainless)

• Apply camellia or mineral oil regularly to preserve the blade

• If the blade becomes loose, gently tap the pivot pin with a hammer to tighten
